That's good analysis and you should always heed those sort of indications. Could it be that the reason for the slowndown over the last few quarters are related to a slown down in capital investment because of Y2K (or any other short term market anomolies)? Two investment firms came out this morning with an upgrade to their forecasts which seem to conflict with your opinion. Just thinking aloud.

With all due respect Andrew, your post is somewhat narrow minded. BRCM is showing they will acquire companies when it makes sense. Does CSCO come to mind? or how about AOL? In 20 years, will BRCM acquire INTC?

Could happen.
