CNBC is a very reliable source of information. Not only did they report that Sun would report earnings today instead of tomorrow, a minute ago their Nasdaq report said "Sun Microsystems is trading flat right now at 82 7/8 ahead of earnings." Of course it was in fact up something like 2 1/2 at the time.

Could somebody be pointing one of those newfangled dimensional divergence beams at them?

This low-80's resistance point/double-top is frustrating, but I'm hoping that we might move through that Friday if the concall is optimistic enough. SUNW could end up as the only player in its space who doesn't resort to doctored up "synthetic" earnings to meet estimates, and a solid growth picture going forward. Note I'm not predicting a blowout (since there won't be one), just convincing positive guidance. If the market isn't tanking that should do it.

And hey, the Paine Webber guy raised his price target from $65 to $77 yesterday! That's quite a jump!<g>
