If you want an interesting stock look at FGH and I also like PDG and CPU and MCK and MO- but the stocks you mention would fit my buying criteria too

I guess I feel pretty discouraged that rational stock pricing works.

Keep the faith. Fundamentals will triumph when this temporary aberration has passed. Within a year or two Amazon will either go bankrupt, or be absorbed, or do a major restructuring, the bubble will burst, and those of us who have savored our investments in GE, MRK, PEP, HD, and other basic companies with no web presence will be smiling and having our choice of a lot of previously leased Beemers etc. dirt cheap.

Before you buy any defense stocks at any price decide who is going to control congress in 2001. The democrats will stop spending billions on building unneeded planes. They will increase military pay. The republicans will probably waste billions on the F-22 etc. But be careful -- they want to cut taxes and that will cost. My guess for a long time now is to avoid investing in defense stocks.
