Not as much latitude as there used to be when ESPN was a boys club. Kilborn and some of his chums used to keep us posted on the career of the Nascar driver Dick Trickle. Every racing story ended with the line, "...and Dick Trickle finished 19th..." (or wherever he finished that day)

Somehow I don't see them asking Robin Roberts or the other sportsbabe to keep us posted on Trickle's career.
