Economic Data for Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000 Weekly Jobless claims = -39k to 272k dol.gov In the week ending Jan. 15, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 272,000, a decrease of 39,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 311,000. The 4-week moving average was 292,000, a decrease of 2,750 from the previous week's revised average of 294,750.
