Bernard,

Thanks, but remember, I'm technically challenged here. I'm just wondering if what you say truly means Gilders seemingly opposing comments are wrong. I don't see that what he says is necessarily in opposition to what you say here. From what he says, I don't yet conclusively gather that the numbers you provide manage to refute the phenomenon Gilder speaks to- and actually, I'm not sure you meant that they do.

Also, why again, Couldn't we expect CDMA on cable to advance as Qualcom wireless phone tech. is expected to, just a year and a half out?

DMT sounds great, but if I've got a finger on that, it too is a greater expense, no?

Oh yes, I don't have any TERN

Dan B

Terayon Communication Systems (NASDAQ:TERN - news) rose $11.38, or 14%, to $94, and traded to a 52-week high of
$98.50 after reporting profitability three quarters ahead of Street expectations. The seller of cable modem systems for
broadband access reported pro forma net income of $0.04 per share. Revenue rose 200% over year-ago levels to $38.7
million. Terayon is benefiting from modem sales and its continued diversification through acquisitions from data into digital
video, telephony, network routing, and xDSL (digital subscriber lines). Timothy Long of Merrill Lynch raised his near-term
rating to “Buy” from “Accumulate” with a target price of $115 per share.

hi Bernard, John Maynard Keynes said that stock market investing is like being a judge in a bizarre beauty contest in which the question is not "who is most beautiful", but "who do the other judges think is most beautiful".
so i guess CDMA, and CDMA related will be the belles of the ball for for the next several months.
