Bob, I know we agree that serious end users will be using fingerprint biometrics, so I will discuss ease of marketing in that arena.

IDX needs to sell compliant hardware and once the end user hooks it up to the Novell-served system, they are in business. ESAF needs to sell hardware and software (algos/template) both. Any more complicated proposition is more difficult to execute. It also seems likely to me that the ESAF product will intrinsically be more expensive, given the two components needed.

I don't assume that IDX is excluded from the Enterprise version when they are clearly embedded in the Starter Pack. Do you have any support for that conclusion?

(As to voice, I don't see how a voice tryout sells multi-biometrics, which is the ESAF pitch.)
