Completely agree, this is very similar to QCOM-Erickson. The question for an options trader like myself is how to profit. The interesting thing here is that if a widespread acknowledgement of the similarities between the two cases becomes the situation, RMBS may run up quite some on that speculation alone. Conversely, it could languish like QCOM did for quite some time. Rich

Transmeta's Crusoe TM5400 (mobile internet appliance chip
700Mhz made by IBM; uses Longrun power management to
conserve power) has a DDR controller on chip. Transmeta
has this chip in production at IBM. The Rambus vs Hitachi
on DDR patents should be a defining moment for Rambus.
