Dave, very interesting. I'm completely out of my depth when discussing patent infringement. It will be interesting to hear the techies points of view. My sense is that there are 3 defenses, that the method HIT uses is different from the method described in the patent, that HIT has a relationship to patents that predate RMBS patents, or that the patents are too fundamental. The one liner in the CNET article that industry reps were amused by the broadness of the suit indicates the latter case. Rich

Listening to yesterday's conference call, I am amazed on how so few analysts even bothered to pick up a phone and ask a question. Even Edelstone the head Rambus cheerleader sent his understudy, to ask questions.

You might think that brokerage houses that don't even have an opinion presently on Rambus might feel the need ask how Rambus is going to become the next MSFT or Qualcomm.
