Folks,

Been lurking on this thread and another option-newbie thread...seeing something that disturbs me a bit.

I am getting the feeling that the decision to buy calls/puts is based more on "gut" feel than on a more rigorous methodology.

I personally want to avoid "entering the casino" as much as possible and would like to create my own criteria for first identifying a potential call/put candidate and then actually pulling the trigger.

Do any of you have such "warning" signals/indicators? Use special software?
