The agreement follows successful completion of 8 months commercial operation involving several base stations in Buenos Aires and 5 other cities in Argentina delivering service to multiple independent subscribers. The AirStar point-to-multipoint technology, also known as local multipoint distribution systems (LMDS), allows carriers to offer wireless Internet and voice services to business customers.
