A real stretch there, William!

The Boston Chicken comparison is easy to say, but imposible to defend. Boston Chicken didn't execute. They screwed their
franchisees. They did all sorts of things wrong while offering a compelling product.

William,

Are you certain we are far enough in the AMZN story to rule this possiblity out?

No more impossible than you using AOL as an example of why every .com can spend spend spend and be unprofitable, only to be a success later.

One example does not make a rule. And BTW- AOL still has an accumulated tax-loss carryforward balance of around 400 million dollars, so technically they've never made a dime of profit.

AMZN is doing the exact opposite. Great execution, commodity product. Brick and mortar stores were packed this Christmas season. This past Mon, it was 11 degrees here for a high, in the sun, and the malls were jammed. AMZN simply will not work for the long term.
