I bet Transmeta had to re-think their strategy when AMD and Intel started pushing out the high-MHz desktop chips at a much faster rate.

We still don't know how well it emulates X86 code so 500 or 700MHz may or may not equal AMD/Intel 500 or 700MHz. But that 1W figure is sure to win them a few designs.
