Yo_Don..............

Re:It isn't about X number it's about Who

you should quit following it until it meets your criteria of X NUMBER of MAJOR BROKERAGE HOUSES.....Don, key word here is MAJOR(should fit your criteria of "WHO")

Re:What G.S. MER., Paine Webber,DLJ, Salom/Smith Barney have to say about the prospects of Rambus means more to ME than does our Newsletter writer bull, EVEN HQ has dropped Rambus??

What do they say about KODAK and XEROX? Do they follow JDSU and CREE?

How many MAJOR HOUSES followed QUALCOM a year ago? Did they have it as a "STRONG BUY"?

Do you think it is possible that there are many start up companies that are not followed by MAJOR HOUSES until they are fairly large and mainstream?

Last week the day that LUCENT pre-warned on earnings and lost 20 points they were upgrade by LEHMAN BROS TO $125 - they closed the day down 20 at $52.

Salude - Norman.

<<Since I have had long term and close relationship with the Brokerage industry and research analysts, I have more faith/respect in what they say, than what the company might say. >>

Don, Lucent had a large no of your broker buddies recommending it with a strong buy, outperfrom, and other accolades.

Were / are you long Lucent, Don? You sure should be, based on the recs of your broker buddies. But take time out from praising your freinds and family in the broker business, and check the chart on Lucent. LOL!

The "research analysts" (a.k.a. underwriting fee originators) are biased and ignorant; they take $$ from the co's they cover. The broker houses sell their inventory to retail on the bounce from their own "buy" recs. Get it?
