Wall Data/Simware Acquisitions Enable NetManage to Compete Aggressively in e-Business Marketplace, Conclude IT Experts
CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 19, 2000--NetManage Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM - news), a leading supplier of eBusiness access and application integration solutions, today announced that IT market experts at Aberdeen Group strongly support the recent acquisitions of Wall Data and Simware.
In a paper titled ''NetManage Moves up the Stack to e-Business,'' now available at www.netmanage.com/qa, the Boston-based IT market research and consulting firm shared its positive analysis of NetManage's recent business expansion. ''(These acquisitions) provide NetManage with strong market presence and complementary product offerings to compete aggressively in the exploding e-Business marketplace,'' said Aberdeen Group's Darcy Fowkes. This move brought together the complementary strengths and synergy of the NetManage eN2000 product family with the award-winning RUMBA product line, and enabled NetManage to reach an 18 percent share of the burgeoning host access marketplace overnight.
