Sanmina to sell 4.5 mln shares

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan 27 (Reuters) - Sanmina Corp., an electronics contract manufacturer, said Thursday it had filed a

The company said in a statement that it had granted underwriters an overallotment option to buy up to 675,000 shares.

Proceeds from the sale will go for working capital and other general corporate purposes, the statement said.

Sanmina also said the offering prompted a change in the record date for its two-for-one stock split.

The record date changes to March 1 from Feb. 1. Certificates reflecting the split will be issued on or about March 22.
