It has taken place. You can listen to the recording at

The following is from a day-old memory, so listen yourself:

Interesting comments about Fujitsu who was "surprised" at how far along HTI is with ATSA. CAPS does not have the actuation capabilities of ATSA and they are interested in testing HTI's suspensions. Moreover, they get the impression from NHK that there are cost-issues with CAPS< though this should be less of a problem for Fuj given that they put their suspensions into their own drives. Fortun speculated that Fuj is far enough behind HTI that given the technical and cost benefits of ATSA, Fuj might integrate it into more programs in the future.

Of course we had similar thoughts with Seg and their integration of TSA has been pushed back until the end of the calendar year at the earliest. This is disappointing given the optimism in December, but Fortun put it down to "business as usual." That is, the "turmoil" of positioning drives is such that nothing is certain from week to week, let alone quarter to quarter and pinning Seg down has been difficult and will continue to be. BUT "there is a lot of meaning in the letter of intent," which entails a lot of formal agreements in cross-licensing, joint-development in the future.

Interesting mix of wireless:
TSA 40
FSA 30
CAPS 20
Other 10

FSA is much more strongly positioned than I thought and is not looking like it will weaken in the near term because of support from Seg. The overall position of HTCH has probably strengthened a bit because of increased demand for conventional suspensions for Seg (though Rick was "shooting from the hip" when he answered this question).

Finally, they are "not standing still" on cost issues. They are "making further significant efforts to improve our manufacturing process and cutting costs."

Lots of other interesting material, but this is long enough.

Best to all,
Jonathan
