So, what about the exhaust fumes?

FUEL CELL BREAKTHROUGH
Motorola today revealed a miniature fuel cell that could replace traditional batteries in laptops, mobile phones and other devices. The tiny cells run on liquid methanol (wood alcohol) which when combined with oxygen in the air, produces electricity. They will last 10 times longer than present rechargeable batteries. The cells measure about one inch square, are less than one-tenth of an inch thick, and run on a tiny replaceable plastic cylinder of methanol. The "air breathing" cell was developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory, eliminating the need for air pumps and heat exchangers. See corporate-ir.net

Don't smoke, and for God's sake avoid those Hot-Hot-Hot sites while surfing on a methanol powered laptop.
