From a fairness perspective, which was my focus all along, taxing all income with SS is no different for you than taxing the first 70K for people that work for me. I'm not saying it doesn't suck but I'm convinced the only way real reform will ever happen is if some important demographic like wealthy execs start to feel the pinch. Up until now, all they have done is laid it on young workers who don't have the numbers to do much of anything (but they are mighty mad about it).
