So glad I dumped CNQR a few days ago along with a few other questionable ones to amass cash on the sidelines. Didn't trade or pay much attention to the market at all today except to look in on CNBC ticker several times in between other activities. Then.....After hours, I was walking by the TV and saw CNQR at 19 and change-----almost lost my breath!!!

By the way, the radio gurus I listen to say they are now buying AOL when people call in during their show and ask about the stock. As might be expected, they used to tell people to wait for a better entry point, and one or two said wait till it drops to 70, as I recall. At 60, hardened "smart money" guys can't stay away from AOL. They seem divided on LU--some say buy and others think more information is needed before they buy.

As for me, I'm in a frame of mind to buy NOTHING but big cap leaders when they go thru their periodic individual tankings on bad news, and stay away from momentum trading or buying second-tier stocks for a while--maybe a LONG while. The big caps I'm holding are not doing particularly well, but I have confidence being away from my computer when I own them, and an abundance of faith in their futures. Of course, trading isn't my primary occupation, so this wouldn't work for some other people.

Meanwhile, I'm taking a break from momentum and volatility and will keep my money in cash until it is more clear what effect Greenie has on the market from now thru February.
