Dear David:

Granted, Landis makes mistakes (he made many in
the late 97 timeframe). However, my observation
is that he picks secular trends, and has often
proved to be right. For example, he had
been recommending ZRAN when it was in the teens
very early in 99. ZRAN had an earnings warning
and bottomed at $8, but then it went up like a rocket.
Same thing with TQNT in 98. So, he is often way too early,
but his insights often take him in the right direction.

Landis and his crew (which includes Rex Dwyer, an
SI alum whose insights are missed here) are original
thinkers. Even if some of their picks are duds,
it is refreshing to see some people who are thinking
outside the box.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
