Steve, re: "Don't worry, Jerry's probably busy at the stove, cooking the books."

So, you took that seriously??? You thought I was serious that the CEO of AMD was busy adjusting earnings at 5 PM?

A joke, Steve, a joke. You can recognize a joke, right?

John

Steve,

I believe AMD said that the tax rate for the quarter was 0%. Is this typical? Is this a one time thing? Did Jerry project next quarters expected tax rate? I compare this to Intel's 30%+ tax rate and wonder what's different. I am not an accountant type, so I invite anyone who can explain this to me to chime in. BTW, congratulations to you and all AMD shareholders for what looks to be a very good quarter. Also to all Intel long's; both companies are reaping the benefits of a hot semi industry.
