Am I right in thinking that closing out options (as opposed to exercising them) does not result in stock movement and so has no effect on share price?

If so, and the majority of our short-term speculation has been buying Jan calls rather than shares, then that may mean that there will not be as many real sellers out there tomorrow as the shorts might wish for?

ptanner,

Yes I see the higher numbers when i type amd.e on schwab but i get no volume info.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

I sure hope we get a real rally going.

And squeezing the ole shorts will be fun.

And if youseless is listening : even though you are an idiot I feel for you : shorting 10K shares of AMD at $28 - jeez.

regards,

Kash
