Tec. I am not sure if I have this right about Csco's and Msft's growth rate. Wait a minute or so. I will go check and see if he WAS talking about Csco's and Msft's growth rate. Maybe he just meant their valuation.

I was shuffling snow this morning and probably froze my brain a bit. gg.

Sonny

Alright Tec. A little more clarity. I was not too off the mark. So shuffling the snow in this cold, cold weather did not do as much damage as I thought.

Bob Pittman said that AOL/TWX's EBIDA would be growing almost as fast as Cisco's and faster than Msft's and therefore he felt that their stock is valued at a deep discount to those cos.

About this prev. interview. Sue said she wanted to clear up this discrepancy of that 50% combined growth rate which was discussed in that prev. interview with Steve Frank. It was Steve Frank who had this interview. I had forgotten that. And S.F., like I said, mentioned this again today. Bob Pittman said he heard that and therefore brought the transcript with him. Again. He opined that certain components in the combined entity would grow at 50% and NOT 50% or more overall. He said that Steve Case filled in the missing pieces in the CC today and felt that a 30% growth rate for the future is great. He again said that this merger will go a long way for further growth.

Now YOU may want to check those EBIDA growth rates for Csco and Msft. I will be watching some TV.

BTW. I believe that you are right and all parties involved were surprised that this announcement whacked the stock. Initially it did not. I know I was elated when it was announced before the markets opened.

Sonny

Also growth rate of SUNW, Tec is about 30% too. I have a feeling that SUNW will have a "blow out" quarter. SUNW has really never blown out the lights in a way that companies like MSFT have done. I think they are due.

I told you about RIMM. Do you believe the movement today in the stock? I am glad I have been given that idea.

Keep warm.

About a month ago I posted here talking about open access for cable in Canada (my how things have changed in a month). As you may remember, OA is mandated in Canada by the CRTC. One cable co announced that it had given term and rate sheets to ISPs detailing what was required. After a month I've managed to get a hold of one. Here are my notes (i cant post the whole thing because it is confidential, but i did post the notes I felt were already being discussed in public.)

Message 12620245

This now takes on different meaning for AOL in different markets.

Jay
