I already have most of Martin's books. Actually I gave them to charity about 3 months ago. My copy of Real Time Data Processing (or something that) was pretty dog eared in the section with the queuing tables. God, does that make me feel old! We used to sit and figure response time curves based on different database designs, comm line configs, transaction profiles, and transaction rates. And we used to get damned close to the eventual real result of our efforts.

Wow! Hadn't thought about that for a while. Those were my Sperry Univac days.
