Brian, how can you be certain that you are right and I am wrong? Is it because God has dispensed special knowledge and understanding of His Word to you?
There are many Christian traditions and doctrines. Are you so prideful to think that you are right and everyone else is wrong?

I honestly do not like your brand of teaching, Brian. You have very little love and tolerance and very much law and damnation. I can see that we are going to butt heads as long as you continue to carry on this conversation so I really wish that you would question someone else and perhaps we might be able to both post without this agitation. I don't like to argue. It is not good for my spirit or my blood pressure.

For one thing James message was to the 12 disbursed tribes of Israel. It was not to you or any Gentile for that matter.

"2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."

The Mystery of Grace was given to Paul but it is easily understood by me that the Christian Jews hung on to many of their laws and practiced them in spite of the fact that they were under a new Covenant of faith + NOTHING to receive the Salvation of God and to live under grace and not works. Now your'e quoting James about faith without works is dead. Paul's Gospel took 30-40 years to fully be understood by the body of Christ. If you practice a religion for 3000 years would you be willing to stop all of the old traditions immediately? Not hardly. Change is difficult as you are a good example of legalism in action from all of the Old Testament regulations instead of firmly grounding yourself in the Gospel for us, the books of Romans through Philemon. That is where you find the messages that are directed specifically to the Body of Christ.
One other thing. I respect and honor the 10 Commandments but I do not have to practice the law of death because Paul himself said there is a better way. That of Love, Brian. Love God and your neighbor and you do not have to live by the law of the 10 Commandments. You know very well that you fulfill the 10 by practicing the one. Love....

Santiago

Brian, I am most happy that you agree with me. I hope you do not mind if I do not write a book in response. :^)
