The topic of his dissertation was "a comparison of the conception of God in the thinking of Paul Tillich and Henry Nelson Wieman." I hesitate to post this link. I think the MLK plagiarism debate is a valid one, but there are so many unsavory characters on the anti-MLK side you hate to throw in with them. But truth is truth, and I think his greatness overcomes any cribbing he did on his dissertation.
