I don't want my stock called away. With puts I have a choice to reposition if I don't want to get put, or get more stock if I do.

What do you think of MSFT?

....[selling puts] to covered calls....they are the same....

Taxman, only the profit/risk charts are the same. Cost (leverage) and ability to repair are two of the more significant differences to a trader.
