VISXbull, you didn't even see the worst...recently my viewing habits had taken me to CNNfn a lot more, just because the hype factor wasn't as heavy-duty as it was getting at CNBC. But when the TimeWarner-AOL merger hit (CNNfn is a subsidiary of TWX), oh geez, it was almost as bad as watching the Ferret for 8 hours straight. You would've thought the rest of the market was closed for a week straight because ALL they wanted to talk about was the merger. It was so obnoxious. All I can say is, for the love of God, I hope GE never enters into some sort of merger such as the AOL/TWX deal...the on-air cooing-over-GE B.S. will be so thick you could cut it with a knife. Speaking of the Ferret, what happened? For a short while, she was actually appearing professional...no shouting, no hyperactive reports from the NYSE...now she's apparently "bigger and badder than ever." I fully expect her to guest-referee a WWF Wrestlemania card--that would be right up her alley. Her and Cindy Lauper would make quite a pair. Question: if someone called into buy/sell/hold and started uttering a bunch of obscenities, surely they could bleep it out...so why don't they use the same discretion when the 38-year olds living in their parents' basement call in cooing over the Ferret? The other day ago made me puke, "Oh Maria, I LOVE the highlights in your hair..." And The Ferret just played it for all it's worth, "yeah well, I am pretty hot-looking, aren't I? Do you really like the way I look? giggle, giggle" Memo to Maria, there are at least 5 women on CNBC who are better looking than you. For example, you don't hold a candle to Liz C. The difference is, Liz would never lower herself to your fan club/Ferret Admiration Society level. Oh well, the good news is there really is a God, because AIM mutual funds has come out with a whole new series of hilarious commercials. I like the new one where the parents are dividing up their kid's room so they can sub-lease it out to that bendo guy...btw, that bendo would've been the perfect Stuart on the Ameritrade ads.
