thanks. i'll take a look at the wdc news and decide what to do. in any event long the put not as risky as short the stock or the call. do you play the bio techs for diversification. i have medi, affx, amgn, idph and bgen. some of them are giving jdsu a run as far as price appreciation but then nothing can match jdsu. regards

thanks for calling my attention to the lucent deal. it was mentioned in briefing. JDS Uniphase (JDSU) 211 15/16 +16 1/4: manufacturer of components and modules for fiber optic telecommunications announces extension through December, 2001, of a multi-year contract with Lucent Technologies (LU) for the supply of advanced optical amplifier modules for Lucent's WaveStar OLS 400G optical networking system.... also i saw the news on wdc--it came down today even thought its loss was less than expected. regards
