Who ranks AMD strong sell? What a professional idiot, he must live under a rock. The Internet help Athlon fame spread like a wide fire. We think it was a Fund Manager who had 90% of his fund vested in AMD, and right after the K6 debacle last year and right before he lost it, he lowered his rating to a strong sell. We would try to get him to change it but we think he was committed shortly after lowering the rating. ted

DARBES claimed that this sell signal originated from Argus, but Albert emailed me that Argus currently has a BUY rating on AMD. Apparently First Call did not pick up the change. Zack's shows one broker with a SELL, but not a STRONG SELL and this broker is identified as "MAJOR BROKER." So I think both Zack's MAJOR BROKER and First Call's STRONG SELL are bogus. Petz
