Sue,

If I don't get to you first in the morning, I am sure someone will help you. Right now I feel brain dead, and need some sleep.

You need to download Startup Manager. (If you have Windows 95)

Have fun,
Phil

Zeddie,

Go to start button/run and type in msconfig/hit ok..this will bring up system configuration utility window..click startup tab and there you will find the programs loaded upon startup. Make a notation of what is checkmarked in case you uncheck something required and then clear the checkboxes that you don't want running at startup. I cleared such things as Realplayer, Scanning programs, task monitor, scheduling agent. More info can be found on this page.

Hope this helps
