Watched yesterday the regular Gateway PC commercial on UPN (ch13).
And quite a surprise! All boxes and the delivery man
are the same, but instead of importunate "tada-tada",
guess what? "Powered by AMD Athlon processors". !!!

Sanders keeps saying that Dresden is ready to go as soon as the market is ready, and you (and others) have scoffed at that notion, saying that if AMD could start pouring copper Athlons out of Dresden they would have already done it. The above mentioned sufficient supply from Austin is why I think that Dresden is doing just fine (as claimed by AMD).

There is a good business reason for not shipping out of Dresden until its needed and that's because AMD will have to start paying on its loans when that happens. So if I were AMD I would not ship until Dresden's chips are needed in volume.....probably 2H,2000.
