You betchya TLC. Go team go team go go go.....

Also another interesting post from yhoo thread...

Notes by Slappie13@aol.com from a Dreisbach presentation at
SalomonSmithBarney's industry conference 1/10/2000 at Palm Springs:

OK. Here are my notes from the Salomon conferrence on Driesbach's
presentation

IP based network
Intelligent microcell technology
more capacity
more coverage
instant handoff
scaleable and robust

900 MHZ spectrum
excellent in building penetration
low power, spread spectrum

Internal modems will be available in early 2001 from
Novatel and Sierra Wireless

Licensing technology for chipsets for motherboards on
computers and other devices.

Each pole top radio costs about $1500 and takes less than 10 minutes to
install Put 300 to 400 radios up in a 5 day period in New York city

Theoretical peak speed is about 796K
Average data rate is 176K in beta testing
Customers will get at least 128K service with speeds
greater than 128K 80% of the time

Distribution Strategy
100% wholesale model
they will not compete with retailers like WCOM
talking to other channel partners like rboc, cellular,
pcs, clec, dlec, isp's, ...
MCOM offers time to market advantages
complementary to current mobile services

Flat rate pricing probably in the $70 to $100 range

Need $1B to fund phase one and two of buildout which should be
almost fully funded from debt/equity offering. This gets them
through 2002
After debt/equity offering, debt to total capital ratio of 26% -- plenty
of room on balance sheet for more debt if needed.

WCOM has a $388M revenue commitment over 5 years.

Now from the prospectus,
looking to go international
ordered 47.7K modems for 2000
ordered a minimum of 150K modems from sierra and novatel for 2001
expect to spend $50M in advertising in 2000
expect other distribution agreements announced in 2Q00
