Oh I agree wholeheartedly. My point is that some conservatives seem often to lament the actions and speech of those with whom they do not agree, but wink at those with whom they agree. Had the management of that station fired the anchor for his comments, these conservatives would have thought it perfectly fine, and we would see how ubiquitous "PC" really is.

Mind, there is nothing wrong with choosing to support those with whom we agree and rejecting those with whom we do not agree. This is freedom of association and its protection is exactly my point. I will not accept some some ethical or moral law that says a person can insult the interests of his superiors and by some "right" keep his job. There is no such right.
