anyone know what transmeta is up to?

Well, although I was unable to make it through a single article regarding Transmeta's big announcement without nodding off, I think I've been able to construct a general summary from the disparate and partial articles.

They don't have a chip. That's the preface. They have a Java chip blueprint meant for running Linux instead of Java (although NOBODY has caught that yet, that *I've read). So far, the most impressive thing about Transmeta has been the ability of their attorneys to successfuly manage several hundred NDAs.
