Joe, I did not buy any of the stocks in my long portfolios until I saw decent prices. . . I bought most of them on January 5. What those that come here for the purpose of hounding me say or think is of little concern.

Also, I never place an equal amount of MONEY into each stock in a portfolio. . . but rather weight it in favor of large caps. . . the simplest way to do that is to buy an equal amount of shares. . .I got criticized for chosing 1 share of each stock last year. . . because it was too "theoretical" . . . so I entered 100 shares each into that particular port. I haven't had time to build other ports. . . .due to other obligations.

The past 3 days have been extraordinary. . . I think overall, I have seen about a 20 percent gain. But I am careful to sell quickly when I see the least bit that I don't like.

I don't care about unrealized gains. . . the market is FULL of them. We can't play everything. I am more concerned with PROTECTING the gains that I HAVE realized.
