dmf, first, CNBC (Tom Costello) again said the Soundview downgrade rumor is false (said he checked with them). In the last 3 months or so, there have been false rumors that temporarily took down Cisco (earnings, which turned out megagreat), Microsoft (earnings, which turned out OK) and, now, Intel. Costello said he (or CNBC) thinks, that part of the weakness is also due to the AMD earnings. You'd think people would figure out that business is good for both right now.Well, now that John Hull has answered and I've asked for clarification, I'm starting to think I should plan to migrate to Israel sometime soon. ? And I appreciate INTC and the overall "up and to the right" that Paul Engle mentions now and then. BTW, Do you think we should know if a poster is a company representative with monitoring/posting responsibilities? If you mean what monitoring/posting responsibilities might John Hull have (he has identified himself as an Intel employee) you could ask. Some companies I know flat out do not condone their employees posting to boards like this. We are fortunate that Intel is not one, although undoubtedly they have guidelines. John Hull has the ability, IMO, to convey nice info for stockholders to have, without stepping over the lines of imprudent disclosures, or touting, or anything close to either. Thanks, John. OFF TOPIC, Gardening. My main goal this winter has been to keep my Lantana from croaking again. So far so good (they do come back from the dead when it gets warm, but look like hell if you let the frost get to them). There, writing about another hobby helps mental health status on a down day.
