If a stock is just sitting there, a MO is fine... I use NDB to accumulate stocks... I can buy 3K all day for the same price. Same on the sell side. I learned early on about using MOs... One of my first trading days. I bought ACLY as it was running up through 18... running hard too. Got filled at 23 (day high)... then the stock started coming down hard and I panicked and sold (MO too) and got filled at 16 (day low) right at the close of the day. The next morning the stock bounced to 19. This was a NASDAQ stock.

Bought a bunch of EUTO years ago on a runnup and got filled at .15 and .21... it hit .27 and came down like a steel ball, I got filled on the MO sell at .09

Since then, I learned several things:
1. Buy fast moving stocks with limit orders.
2. Don't chase, there will always be a pullback.
3. Be a buyer when the masses are selling and vice-versa.
