i held all oils except i sold precision drilling and bought more cominco. if one had to buy one oil, i'd still suggest ranger (rgo) , it was pretty resilient today...

ok, the oils and base metals had a lousy day, but its just one day. i still think they are the place to be.

jimmy dines talks about the coming palladium surge...he likes stillwater a lot...

but, luc, why did you ask, are you interested in what i'm doing ? the last time you responded i saw a LOL in the post...

what should people do here, throw $ at poots as you suggested or at least OWN something that might hold value ?

pawn to king four...your move

>>did ya buy on weakness today?<<

I can honestly say that if I had not held calls this month -(Went after that burke Bio Index at fairly low prices in december) I would now be less aggressive with these cheap puts - instead I am moving up my contract size and going further out of the money.

On the dark side of the equation: I love that section in McMillan about how everyone went long into the eye of 'ol triple witch for the '87 'buying opportunity'. Funny little section about how on monday some of them big deal call options became stock that was a tanking ---and the margin calls were a flyin'- hohoho

An accountant of mine here in new york told me he could not reach NYC ML on the phone for 3 Days in '87! Now he calls long distance to a full service broker in Rochester.
