I notice that many stocks reporting earnings lately seem to go down right afterwards then come back within a few days later.

I have a feeling its the old "buy on rumour, sell on news" effect.

If the company is doing well and meeting or beating expectations with proof of increased revenues, etc. etc. then your investment should work out well over the long term.

I think one problem we have on these threads is the mix of investors and traders aboard. I may see a stock like CS good for a 1-3 point position trade while many here view CS as a long term investment ot takeover. Thus, differring opinions.

I think you need to set your own goals, do your own research, and take whatever information you can find from these threads for your own personal use.

NITE....I'm not sure what to believe now that I have heard the latest rumour. NITE is very heavily shorted and coupled with the fact they are very interest rate and economically sensitive oriented might be a very good reason or two the stock is underperforming in my own opinion.
