Sounds like they were too busy with Cu demo's and meeting orders to play games like a stock split to drive the stock higher... 8)

I wonder if they could just announce it at another time or do we have to wait for quarterly announcement dates or annual stockholders meetings?

Yipee! Great job and a hearty pat on the back to the employees at Lam Research.

I ALMOST took some profits at $140 yesterday and decided not to stand in front of the freight train! 8)

It hit $151.75 in after hours and has now given some back

Brian, YHY, Duker and other posters. On a overall basis was the quarterly report equal to or better than NVLS KLAC and AMAT's last report? I realize that this is a subjective call. But in my opinion the stocks to own are those with the best looking prospects for the next quarter or so. Some might say that this is comparing apples to oranges, but the ripest fruit is the tastiest.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Jerome

Is it possible that LRCX may have an acquition in mind- therefore no stock spilt. I wonder if they may be eying Tegal. They have a lawsuit against LRCX. Maybe LRCX will buy them to get rid of the lawsuit.

I would like your comments on how you think LRCX should best be valued. Price/sales Price/earnings. What do you think is a reasonable value to assign them. I know we are going through a good business cycle right now, but in 2-3 years it could drop again. I am paranoid about it dropping again after holding it the last few years. To go from 70 to less than 10 and a ride to the current levels is astonishing.
