Was the RIMM difficult to insert?
RIMM is much easier to install than PC100 RAM but Intel surely doesn't need additional phone calls on support or returns on damaged motherboards from homeowners building their own systems as selling VC820 retail motherboards will tend to do.

Your Next Performance PC Memory Architecture
Presented by: Pete MacWilliams, Ahbid Ahmad, Ramone Ko, and Wei Seito

The computer industry demands highly differentiated commodity memory types to integrate onto IA-32 and future IA-64 products. One memory type can no longer fit all mobile, desktop, workstation and server requirements. Memory architectures need to evolve...and they are. This course will update the memory architecture road map, announce the results of the PC133 memory evaluation and align Direct Rambus with the next-generation PC desktops, workstations and servers. The factors in determining the memory architecture for the various mobile, desktop, workstation and server products will also be discussed.
