From Bloomberg Site:

"Computer chipmakers gained after the Commercial Times reported that United Microelectronics Corp. increased its wafer prices by 10 percent starting the second quarter. UMC, the world's second largest made-to-order computer chipmaker, rose 2.3 percent to NT$113.50."

So maybe this is a silly question:

SNDK owns 1% of UMC. If UMC raises chip prices by 10% in the 2nd quarter (and assuming SNDK is affected by this increase, which I'm not sure they are), does SNDK stand to gain more from increased profits from their stake in UMC than it stands to possible lose in increased cost of product?
