i have used three sources to obtain leads for stocks on which to buy puts:

1) stocks with relative strength falling below certain levels published in investors business daily.

2) standard and poor outlook service publishes lists of stocks to sell or by using the stocks ranked 1 and 2 on a scale with 5 being its highest rated stocks.

3) untimely stocks listed in the value line investment survey and in the value line investment survey--expanded edition.
