Cary,

Ok....CMP is supposed to grow faster but if you are SFAM you spent the past 2-3 Qs putting the pieces back together with the IPEC acquisition. They definitely fumbled the ball but didn't turn it over.

Hmm...projections....next Q has consensus of -$0.07...I would not be surprised if we see a loss or 2 or 3 cents and would fall out of my chair if they almost broke even. As for the 4th Q, I see them pulling $0.15-0.16 a share. So while fiscal year '00 may be a dog overall, they will back in the black by mid calendar year '00. While this is more a SWAG until I listen to their next CC in February, my gut says about 60-65 cents for 1st and 2nd Qs of fiscal '01.

Just one man's spin...SemiBull

Cary,

If I may say so, you once taught me an extremely valuable lesson: that it is possible to buy 7 different companies in the same industry without being an indecisive wimp. Formerly, I used to sometimes analyse a decision into paralysis, because I could not make my mind up about the "best choice".

So go ahead and buy some SFAM. If it is not in perfect alignment with the rest of the semiequip galaxy, all the better. It may reduce overall risk and not have as far to fall. <G>
