Sam, You raise a valid point, though I read about Enron's strategy earlier in the week and bought as a result. I was NOT aware of a big deal with Sun at the time, though one would have to surmise that they would be the server vendor of choice in such an effort. You also mentioned LU in your comment. what did LU do? The entire world became aware of LU's miss at the same time. There was a 2-3 dollar drop earlier in the day, but that is hardly telling.
