Right now the "know your Customer" regulations of the IDA in Canada require human intervention and assessment of each order entered by customers even though no investment advice is being provided. The brokers are expected to be better judges of whether or not an order is appropriate than their customers.

Hopefully, on the 18th, the IDA will retract that regulation...>>

Do you have a source for the news about the IDA meeting Feb. 18? I'd like to find out more about this meeting, and try to determine if the IDA can act on its own or if a rule change must be approved by provincial securities commissions.
