It does, dangergirl. It also interfaces with TurboTax so that the forms are filled out properly.

With Etrade you down load the trade right into the reg. if you own a stock for longer then three months, you have to enter the trade manually, but after you get them all in, it's very easy to handle it all, the hard thing are splits even that is easy, the program cal. the cost bases for you. I just started using Quicken again, I hated entering all the info. before but now it is a snap. If one trades as often as I do, entering 400+ items at tax time is NO FUN AT ALL, next year it will be a little to no hassle at all.

OT Taxes

I looked and Quicken lists Ameritrade
The download type is "direct"
Same for Etrade (my broker)
Best to confirm before purchasing

I use Turbo Tax for taxes
Turbo Tax gets easier each year
Retrieves all bio data automatically
Download transactions from broker to Quicken
Download transactions from Quicken to Turbo Tax
I use the Deluxe versions for full features

I am with Greg, HATE matching/entering trades
Etrade matches trades for you in schedule D format
Best tax screens I have seen
You could just print out and attach to 1040

OTOT Dangergirl..I'm in the same boat you are -- trying to figure out how to deal with the tracking of mucho trades...from what I have been able to gather, most people are pretty high on Quicken2000 -- I know Fidelity supports it and would assume most of the other on-line brokers do as well since it seems so popular...I haven't purchased yet, still in info gathering mode -- so will let you know as I come up with anything else. Best, PoetTrader
