well not the brightest move IMO. It costs to hire the liquidators and I suspect that they will get a kill fee if things are worked out in the short term. Otherwise who is gonna be one of the first bidders in a liquidation sale? Rail would be my guess. It would have been nice to see this deal work out and fasttrack the NRL process - now it's the old fashioned way of improving the deposit and shopping it around! Let's see if cooler and wiser heads prevail over the next couple of days. I doubt the union is looking fwd to this move at all.
FWIW - the stock only shows 15K offered between 1.30 and 1.70 and most of that is at 1.30 - not bad for a stock that was supposedly just put out of the loop. I think we'll be okay despite the wrangling of whose got the money over at the sysco/NS gov't deal.
